Tonkotsu Queen – Minato-Ken

Tonkotsu Queen (とんこつクイーン)

Price: 820 Yen (Japanese Yen)

Restaurant: Minato-Ken

Taste Rating: 4.5 (Itadakemoi Approved)

The broth is creamy and the taste is superb. I dont know how can I explain the taste but I like it so much.

This is my kind of Ramen. “My Queen Ramen” The best among I’ve tasted. My Top 1 Ramen

They also have a jar of nori in the table together with the condiments. Its unli-nori for me. Yepey!!!.

Nori (海苔) is the Japanese name for edible seaweed (a “sea vegetable”) species of the red algae genus Pyropia, including P. yezoensis and P. tenera. … It is used chiefly in Japanese cuisine as an ingredient to wrap rolls of sushi or onigiri, in which case the term refers to the dried sheets.

Save some broth so you can still have some Kaedama.

This is a one time free noodle refill or what they call in Japanese “Kaedama”. If you want to have a noodle refill, just say the magic word: KAEDAMA onegaishimasu…

Service Rating: 4 (Thumbs Up!)

Even if you are a foreigner(Gaijin) and know little about nihongo or nothing at all. They are still nice to serve you. They are looking for ways to communicate and understand you.

Take note that their ordering machine only accepts 1000 yen bills. If you have a 5000 yen bill or a 10,000yen bill you can ask the staff to exchanged your 5000 yen bill to 5 pieces of 1000 yen bills. If you dont know how to say it like me. Just say “Sumimasen”(excuse me) then show your 5000 yen bill to the staff.

“Gochiso sama deshita” means “it was quite a feast” in Filipino “Busog!!!” .

After your done with the ramen and ready to leave the restaurant.

Gochiso sama deshita!!!
